In the hands of children, art materials transform idea's into actions. By expressing their ideas in art, children find new ways of exploring their world. They make important connections to other areas of study.

Art at Indian Hollow consists of an interdisciplinary curriculum in which the basic elements and principles of art are explored. These include: color, form, value, texture, line, space, and shape. This allows children to make concrete connections that extend to other areas of study, including multicultural activities and character education.

Children are given the opportunity to express themselves in an environment that is conducive to exploring. This environment helps children to build self-esteem through independent work and cooperative groups.
